OED accepting RFP for FY25 Kauai Cultural Program & Events Grants

The County of Kaua‘i’s Office of Economic Development (OED) has opened a request for proposals for its Kauai Cultural Program & Events Grants Program for fiscal year 2025.

The intent of this grant program is to support the creation or maintenance of community events, activities, and experiences for resident education and enjoyment; to support Native Hawaiian cultural programming; and to enhance products and visitor management programs that align with the goals of the Kaua‘i Destination Management Action Plan or other related community plan goals for visitor industry management.

All proposals must be submitted via the SMApply Grants system on or before 4 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2025.  Applications are not accepted through mail, email, hand delivery, or fax. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.

Eligible applicants can apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.

Applicants will be notified of funding during the week of April 21, 2025. The funding period will be from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.

The session will be recorded and posted on www.kauaiforward.com by the end of the day on March 14, 2025
