PRINCEVILLE – The Kaumumene Trail, also known as Hideaways, in Princeville, will be closed for maintenance work beginning Tuesday, June 6, until further notice.
The trail will be closed on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to noon, for approximately two weeks while crews conduct extensive maintenance work. No work will occur on June 12, in observance of the Kamehameha Day holiday.
All beachgoers are advised that the trail will be barricaded during work hours for the safety of the community, and personnel on site. This means anyone accessing the beach through the trail prior to the 8 a.m. closure will not be able to leave the beach through the trail until work is completed that day at noon.
Officials thank the public for their understanding as crews work as safely and expeditiously as possible to complete much needed maintenance of this trail site for the community to enjoy.
