'ANINI/KALIHIWAI/PRINCEVILLE - The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation request for 'Anini, Kalihiwai and Princeville until further notice, due to an electrical power outage. Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes, in order to avoid a full water service outage.
Additional water conservation measures include turning off appliances and fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems.
An update will be posted to the DOW's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KauaiDOW and sent via Kauai County Alerts, when the conservation notice is lifted.
