Water service shutdown scheduled on Puu Road in Kalāheo April 16

KALĀHEO – The Department of Water (DOW) and contractor, Kaiwa Construction Inc., have scheduled a water service shutdown on a portion of Puu Road, between Papalina Road and Puu Kulana Place in Kalāheo to perform water system improvements. The water service shutdown will begin on Wednesday, April 16 at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 3 p.m, weather permitting. 

Customers located in the designated service area are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:  

• Store water to meet your needs until water service can be safely restored. 
• Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown. 
• Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.
