The public was invited to experience a free heart-to-heart talk with featured speakers and honorees Renae Hamilton-Cambeilh and Gina Kaulukukui on March 6, 2019, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall. It offered an opportunity to meet these extraordinary women and provided a platform that provoked conversation and raised awareness.
Talk Story - Ms. Hamilton-Cambeilh and Ms. Kaulukukui were chosen for their public service, dedication, and leadership in the community. They represented the theme "Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Non-Violence" and have influenced public policy, community organization, and work tirelessly to make Kauai a better place to live.

Each year the Committee on the Status of Women selects a group of women and invites them to speak on the national theme and share their personal stories. These are women who have shaped Hawai‘i’s history and its future through public service and government leadership. They have influenced our public policy, organizations and work tirelessly to make Hawai‘i a better place to live. The event offers an opportunity to meet these extraordinary women and provides a platform to provoke conversation and raise awareness. The goal is to bring the community together and provide inspiration, education and foster hope.
