The county attorney is the chief legal adviser and legal representative of all county agencies and departments, including the county council and the office of the mayor.

The Office of the County attorney represents the county in all legal proceedings and performs all other services incident to the office as required by law. The county attorney does not provide legal advice or guidance to the general public.

About our team:

The Office of the County Attorney (OCA) is the chief legal advisor to and legal representative of all County agencies and departments, including the County Council and the Office of the Mayor.

About the position:

The County Attorney is seeking applications from attorneys currently licensed to practice in the State of Hawai'i to serve as a Deputy County Attorney

As a Deputy County Attorney, you will provide legal support for the Office of the Mayor, the County Council, and all County agencies and departments, including boards and commissions. The duties may include transactional or general civil litigation, concentrating on municipal law.  For example, you may provide legal advice on contracts, property interests, collective bargaining, or represent the County in civil litigation matters.

This position does not offer remote work options.

SALARY: Annual salary is commensurate with experience.
