The county attorney is the chief legal adviser and legal representative of all county agencies and departments, including the county council and the office of the mayor. The Office of the County attorney represents the county in all legal proceedings and performs all other services incident to the office as required by law. The county attorney does not provide legal advice or guidance to the general public.
