The Fire Education section is responsible for developing and implementing programs that will increase the public's awareness of fire safety.
The Prevention Bureau provides training (digital fires) for businesses, individuals, or groups by request. Please email your request to kfdpreventionbureau@kauai.gov
Minutes count! Someone who is severely bleeding can bleed to death in as little as 5 minutes. That's why bleeding control-keeping the blood inside the body-is the purpose of STOP THE BLEED training. Visit STOP THE BLEED for more information.
To schedule a training or for inquiries please email kfdpreventionbureau@kauai.gov or Firefighter John Jenson at jjensen@kauai.gov. The training is free and takes 45 minutes to an hour. There is a maximum of 24 individuals per session.
The Fall Prevention and Wellness Program is a multi-agency coalition between the Kauaʻi Fire Department, American Medical Response (AMR), and the County of Kauaʻi Agency on Elderly Affairs designed to promote the safety and well-being of the Kupuna of Kauaʻi.
The program is free to the public for individuals over the age of 60.
