Additional Dwelling Unit and Additional Rental Unit

NEW ADU/ ARU Online Forms

The County of Kauai Planning Department has implemented a new online system for submitting and processing Additional Dwelling Unit (ADU) and Additional Rental Unit (ARU) Clearance Forms.

The new process is as follows:

Step 1.Create your own personal account in the system.

Step 2.Click on the form you want to submit.

Step 3.Follow the steps detailed for the specific form to completion.

Step 4.Once the form is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Planning Department and forwarded to all the other departments involved.

Step 5.When the Clearance Form review is complete, you will receive an automated email.

While the form is being reviewed, you can view its progress at any time by logging back into the system.

The new system is accessed at Connect.Kauai.gov.
