Long Range Planning

The Long-Range Planning Division administers the County's planning program and is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of Kauaʻi County's General Plan, community development plans, and other related plans and projects. Data collection and analysis related to growth and land use issues are other important functions of the division. The division's duties include:

• Preparation and implementation of long-range plans
• Six-Year Capital Improvement Program Report
• Multimodal Transportation Planning
• Preparation of special planning studies and projects
• Data collection and analysis
• GIS mapping and analysis
• Participation in partner planning initiatives
• Public outreach and education on planning issues
