KALAHEO - The Department of Water and contractor, Hawaiian Dredging Construction, Inc. has scheduled a 2-hour water service shutdown on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from approximately 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., weather permitting to conduct waterline work.
Customers located on Po'ohiwi Road are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:
• Store water to meet your needs until water service can be safely restored.
• Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown.
• Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.
An update will be provided if new information is received. Additional notification is being sent to the service area via Kauai County Alerts.
