Comments for proposed affordable housing project accepted until 2/21

LĪHU‘E – The County of Kaua‘i Housing Agency will continue to receive comments on the draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed Kahua Ho’oulu Affordable Housing Development Project located in Puhi. Comments will now be accepted until Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

This proposed housing development would include up to 60 multi-family affordable units as well as include a planned education center on County-owned land in Puhi. The proposed project seeks to accommodate a blend of affordable incomes.

The draft Environmental Assessment may be viewed online at www.kauai.gov/housing. All persons who wish to comment on the draft Environmental Assessment may submit written comments to Kaua‘i County Housing Agency, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 330, Līhu‘e, Hawai‘i 96766, Attn: Koa Duncan or via email at rduncan@kauai.gov.  All comments received by February 21, 2024, will be considered.
