KAPA‘A – At approximately 2:30 p.m., KPD received a report of black smoke coming from a vessel fire off the shore of Lydgate Beach Park.
First responders are on the scene of the incident, approximately four miles offshore. The U.S. Coast Guard is the leading responding agency with support from the Kaua‘i Fire Department. At this time, no injuries have been reported.
KPD Dispatch is aware of the incident and thanks the public for their continued vigilance.
