LĪHU‘E – The Kaua‘i Fire Department is announcing that KFD personnel will conduct helicopter and water rescue training at the Ahukini State Recreational Pier in Līhu‘e on Feb. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Due to the training, Ahukini State Recreational Pier will be closed to the public during the date and times mentioned above.
“Mahalo to our partners with the Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources for allowing our personnel to conduct this essential training,” said KFD Chief Michael Gibson. “This exercise is a vital investment in safeguarding communities, ensuring our personnel are equipped with the skills and readiness to confront emergencies.”
