Sept. 24 UPDATE: Lane closure scheduled for Niumalu Road in Nāwiliwili through Sept. 30

The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders are announcing that a portion of Niumalu Road in Nāwiliwili, from Nāwiliwili Road to Wa‘apa Road, has been rescheduled and one lane will be closed through Sept. 30, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Sept. 19 UPDATE: Lane closure scheduled for Niumalu Road in Nāwiliwili Sept. 20 to Sept. 27

The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders are announcing that a portion of Niumalu Road in Nāwiliwili, from Nāwiliwili Road to Wa‘apa Road, has been rescheduled Sept. 20 to Sept. 27, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

NĀWILIWILI  – The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders are announcing that a portion of Niumalu Road in Nāwiliwili, from Nāwiliwili Road to Wa‘apa Road, will be closed Sept. 23 to Sept. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

The one-lane closure is necessary for road resurfacing work. Motorists are advised that full closures may be intermittent and to drive cautiously in the area, as heavy machinery and commercial vehicles will be present.

Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.  Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
