Water conservation notice issued for Princeville, Kalihiwai Valley

09/10/24 (Update) PRINCEVILLE - Princeville Utilities Co. Inc. (PUCI) remains in an active water conservation status until further notice.  This request also applies to Department of Water (DOW) customers located on Anini Road, Kalihiway Valley Estates and along Kuhio Highway in Princeville. Customers in these service areas are advised to limit water use to essential needs only.

According to PUCI, the request also includes a goal to reduce irrigation habits within the community.  For inquiries regarding non-essential water use, PUCI customers may contact the Princeville Utilities, Inc. office at 808-826-6100.

An update will be provided when the conservation notice is lifted.

PRINCEVILLE – Princeville Utilities Co., Inc. (PUCI) has issued an immediate water conservation request for all customers until further notice.  The request also includes Department of Water (DOW) customers located on Anini Road, Kalihiwai Valley Estates and a portion of Kuhio Highway, near Hanalei Plantation Road, in Princeville.  PUCI and DOW customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes until the notice is lifted.

Water conservation measures also include refraining from car washing, recreational water uses and turning off appliances that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems.

PUCI’s water conservation notice was implemented to avoid a water outage while they work to address an issue affecting their pump stations.  An update will be provided when the conservation notice is lifted.
