PRINCEVILLE – The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation request for its customers located on Anini Road, Kalihiwai Valley Estates and a portion of Kuhio Highway; near Hanalei Plantation Road, in Princeville, until further notice in cooperation of a precautionary measure implemented by Princeville Utilities Co., Inc. (PUCI). Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes.
PUCI recently issued a water conservation notice for their customers, as a precautionary measure to avoid a water outage due to dry weather conditions. DOW customers located on Anini Road, Kalihiwai Valley Estates and approximately 7 customers along Kuhio Highway in Princeville are serviced from PUCI sources and are advised to adhere to the conservation request.
